The Master Degree Rule allows applicants who have completed a Danish or a foreign master’s programme to be admitted to a new higher educational programme only in case of vacant study places. The rule applies regardless of what country you completed your Master’s degree in if your degree is assessed to be equal to a Danish Master’s degree.
Exemptions from the rule
Zealand may grant an exemption from the rule if we find that there are special circumstances, such as serious illness, which prevent you from using your Master’s degree to find work. Being unemployed or having general desire to switch careers is not a valid ground for an exemption.
Please see the tab “Dispensation” for further information regarding exemption from the Master Degree Rule.
Exemptions will always be granted on the basis of a specific individual assessment.
