Zealand - For the Ambitious Generation
Zealand Academy of Technologies and Business
Zealand Academy of Technologies and Business was established in 2008 as a public institution under the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science. Within the Danish education system, academies are comparable to Universities of Applied Sciences. As a self-governing institution, Zealand combines institutional autonomy with public accountability.
Zealand Academy serves students across the region called Zealand through a network of specialized campuses, with its main administrative office located in Køge Each campus offers a strong professional focus and a distinct study environment. Our approach combines the benefits of a larger institution with the strengths of local academic communities.
One Institution – multiple campuses
With roots dating back more than 100 years, Zealand builds on strong educational traditions while continuously adapting to the needs of modern industry and society. We offer a practice-oriented learning environment that integrates academic knowledge with personal development, collaboration skills, and innovation.

A Strong Focus on Internationalization
Internationalization is a key priority in Zealand and an integral part of our educational strategy. We actively work to create a global learning environment that prepares students for careers in an increasingly interconnected world.
Zealand is committed to strengthening international mobility for both students and staff. We collaborate with a wide network of partner institutions across Europe and beyond, offering opportunities for study exchanges, internships abroad, and participation in international projects.
Through these partnerships, students gain valuable intercultural competencies, global perspectives, and professional networks that enhance their employability. At the same time, we continuously welcome international students, guest lecturers, and researchers, contributing to a diverse and dynamic academic environment.
Our programs increasingly integrate international elements, such as English-taught courses, cross-border collaboration, and real-life business cases with global relevance. This ensures that our graduates are not only academically qualified but also equipped to operate in international and multicultural contexts.
By combining strong regional roots with an international outlook, Zealand aims to contribute to both local development and global knowledge exchange.
